With over 30 years of experience in utility and competitive entrepreneurial business leadership, Rob has extensive expertise in engineering, construction, operations, geo-exchange, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and strategic business development. Extensive senior management experience has been gained in the energy sector having previously worked at Toronto Hydro, Earth Energy Utility Corporation, OZZ Energy Solutions and Horizon Utilities Corporation, as well as providing management consulting services to various energy sector clients. He played an active role in Ontario's Smart Meter deployment, amalgamation of Toronto's six local distribution companies, development of an electronic business transaction data hub enterprise for the opening of the Ontario retail electricity market, and growth of OEC's home comfort, construction, services and renewable energy businesses.
Community and industry participation includes being on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Energy Association, Board of Directors of United Way Oakville and 2015 Chair of the United Way Oakville Campaign Cabinet, CEO partner of the GridSmartCity Cooperative, Board of Advisors for the Entripy Group and a long standing Director with the Oliphant Campers' Association (one of the oldest cottage associations in Canada) as well as the Harbourmaster liaison to Fisheries and Oceans Canada for the Oliphant Harbour. Rob also actively participates in the Electricity Distributors Association and Canadian Electricity Association.
He is a professional engineer, with a degree in Engineering and Management, and an MBA, both from McMaster University.
